Computer restarts with NFS but not CSS

intel core 2 duo
4gb ddr3 ram
geforce 9400GT

so yeah, I recently got Need For Speed Shift to play on my computer, but it restarts at random times, some times after the first race, sometimes at the beginning of the first intro movie, sometimes at the end of the first intro movie.

But, when I play Counter Strike Source, nothing restarts, everything is fine.

My computer does randomly restart and I know its a big problem but I can't just do trial and error with new parts because I am really low on cash. Can anyone help me out on this problem?
