Windows updates and defender cannot update. Error 80072efe. Also USB Threat Defender (USB Antivirus) cannot update. I've been reading alot on your site and I've tried a few more things and no luck. I went to your malware page DL your malware utilities and others and ran Mal-Bytes , TFC, RootRepeal and OTL. Still the same. I have tried the procedure of stopping the service and renaming my Software Distribution folder and run chkdsk or scandsk either one, and reboot . Still the same. This is really driving me nuts because once I find something wrong I must Fix-it. In my mind, my computer is not Broken but its not the same until I fix-it. It really bothers me. I know , it sounds stupid , but anyway, I have log files ,I read that I should include log files. Iwould like veery much to resolve this issue Idid e-mail microsoft but all I got in return was some confirmation e-mails , not a solution.
