I followed your instructions to Liv about OTL.exe and also ran the root kit malware thingie! I've attatched the info it gave me and it shows the word 'Kaspersky' a lot! Isn't that a new and particularly nasty virus? Any help you can give will be appreciated.....this thing won't let me access my pc guard software or download anything like AVG or Norton etc....or the Microsoft malicious software tool. I'm fumbling in the dark really and a bit of a techophobe....but I learn fast! Grateful for any easy to follow suggestions you can give me. BranwellB.
