Aspire Laptop
Windows Vista

I was given this laptop to work on. It's about 2 years old. I turn the laptop on it then turns off, then on, off, on, off, on...... You have to unplug it and remove the battery to make it stop. Any help on this issue will be a big help.

Can you get in to safe mode?
Can you try last known good configuration?

Tap F8 on startup for safe mode choices.

Can you get into the bios?
If yes, can you try resetting the bios to default. It is probably in advanced settings.
