I'm having a really weird issue when connecting with Xbox live. Whenever I turn my Xbox on, I cannot connect to Xbox live, until I test the Xbox live connection. Right after I test the connection, I can connect no problem. It seems like like the Xbox cannot get the DNS servers until I do that.

I am running Comcast internet, with a WRT54G router with a Cisco Catalyst 2950 switch that connects everything. I ended up getting the Catalyst switch because I plan on studying for my CCNA in the near future. I have 3 wired computers connected through the switch as well as a Brother Printer, an Xbox, and a PS3. Nothing else has any problems connecting to it, and everything works well. This only started happening after I installed the switch, and I tested another Xbox, so I know that my Xbox is not at fault.

I tried setting a static IP, but could not get it to work that way as well. Any ideas?

It's just something that has been bothering me for a while, and I want to know what the explanation is to this.
