Not able to open any icons on desktop. HELP!

So this is wats going on, my sister said while she was on the comp something popped up sayin there is a virus so she ran the scan and since it was takin so long she just closed it cause she is not very bright lol.So when i get on i run the scan and found 2 viruses and i got rid of them but when i go to open up IE it will not open, it dosnt even sign me in to msn and even when i go to update my spyware app it wont connect to even do that.I cant open anything i dont get it, but when i log out and go on my moms username its liek nothing is wrong everything opens and seems to run fine so i think its just a small problem here so anyone with any info would be great!! Thx.(Im under my moms username just to write this)

You should ask this in the Malware and spyware forum so someone experienced with removing malware can assist you

I suggest you go to the Malware Removal and Spyware Removal Forum and run all the steps located in the
START HERE. These self-help tools will help you clean up 70% of problems on your own.
If you are still having problems after doing the steps, then please post the reguested logs in THAT forum.
If you are unable to run any of the tools then start a new topic in the malware forum and put this in the subject line...I am unable to run any malware tools

If you are still having problems after being given a clean bill of health from the malware expert, then please return to THIS thread and we will pursue other options to help you solve your current problem(s).
