I have an Acer 7720z and the network connections wired and wireless will not connect. They will show a connection to the router but then display limited or no connectivity to the internet. What settings do I have to change? Is it the TCP/IP config. This is running on Windows Vista. I have other laptops in the area that are connecting to the wireless and wired fine.

Optional Information:
Computer OS: Windows Vista
Browser: IE

Already Tried:
Reinstalling the drivers for the hardware listed from the acer website :)

1. Let's test your TCP/IP connection:

a. Click on START button/orb
b. Click on RUN, type CMD and hit ENTER
c. Type in IPCONFIG /ALL and hit enter.
d. Right-click inside that window, then Left-click on SELECT ALL, press Ctrl+C (to copy everything inside that window because you will need to paste it into your reply).
e. Press Ctrl+V to paste the copied text into your reply here at Geeks To GO.

2. How far in distance is the router from this particular computer and just out of curiousity where is your router situated? (Ie: behind desk on the floor? on top of a desk? downstairs in the kitchen?)

3. Have you cleared this computer with a GeekU gaduate to ensure that it is virus/malware free?

4. Troubleshoot Network Connection

Good luck and please post back with your results...

Thank You,
Decypher
