Im wondering if someone can help me to figure out whether I have fully removed the virus I had. It all started when I (stupidly) walked right into a spam link on facebook sent from a friends hacked account. I must've been tired and wasn't paying attention, and clicked the link and then all the bogus "you are infected" messages started. My syst restore was disabled, and it wouldn't let me install adaware. Using a combination of AVG, Threatfire, Norton Antivirus, Spybot S&D helped a little, but I still got an infected message after rebooting. Then I found you guys :-)
I followed all your procedures in the Malware and Spyware cleaning guide. Mbam seemed to help the most. It had 2 stubborn errors that refused to go away, bu then after installing avast and superantispyware, i get a 0 error report. The only thing that refuses to go away at this point is the following error from Avast:
c:\windows\assembly\gac\office\12.0.0.0_71e9bce111e9429c\office.dll "Unable to scan:Data Error (cyclic redundancy check)
I don't know what this is, or if it means I am still infected.
Here is my latest log from Mbam -- if it would help, I can also show you the older infected log so you can see what i had originally.
