blue screen of death

the following error code is on the blue screen i have on start up :
0X000000F4 (00000003,0X86F65Da0,086F65F14,0X805D29E )
I have no idea what this means or what has caused it
this is a pc i bought locally with win xp home pre installed and no boot disc supplied so i need to be able to go to the shop and show the guy the reason for this error is it his fault or mine
If there is a fix for this please tell me in simple terms what i have to do to cure this most annoying problem
