finally ordered my new comp from newegg and got it built.. totaled out to ~$900 including shipping.. heres the gist of it:

-amd phenom x4 3.0ghz
-gts geforce 250 1gb ddr3 pci express 2.0x16
-8gb ddr3 ram
-gigabyte amd 770 motherboard

and my case:

Overall, the machine is a beast, use it a lot for gaming and it couldnt be any smoother!

Congrats! That looks like a nice setup and a really flashy case.

What did you choose for your HDD's? If you're a gamer, you might want to look into a RAID 0 setup for your machine. Assuming your Gigabyte MoBo does onboard RAID, it's as easy as picking up an additional HDD and I'm sure you will love the results.
