No burning

Well, I still can't install all programs or updates. I can get some, but not all.

But, now the problem I need help with is that I can't seem to burn anything. When I put in a blank DVD it just seems to try to scan it forever and it never acknoleges that there is anything there. It also doesn't show up as # of free GB on the burn program.

Any thoughts?

What do you mean by "sort of"?
