Network Connection problem

I'm connected to the internet at my house wirelessly, but often my computer prompts me to connect to dial up. When I try to get the iphone update, it says it can't connect to the itunes store since I'm not connected to the internet, even though I'm connected wirelessly. How do I make the system see dialup is not my connection?

Are you using Windows Internet Explorer ?

There should be a Option ... under Connections that will tell IE never to dialup.
