how do I change a thumbnail image for a video in xp?

Hi,I hope someone knows how to do this as I have been googling for ages trying to find out how to do it.I use VLC media player most of the time and can take screenshots with it but I have no idea how to change the thumbnail image in xp to the screenshot(for the video itself and not the folder!)Can anyone help?

also there are many third party software which can achieve the same.
