Hello,

I have purchased some webspace for a website along with a domain name. The domain name will expire in a few days. I would like to renew the domain name. I can do it through the company that is providing the disk space. However, I was wondering if I can do it through a different company (such as goDaddy) for cheaper, and then point it over to my disk space? If so how do I do that? My disk space provider uses cPanel 11.

Thanks.

You can, but probably willl not be cheaper as you have to transfer the domain (costs money) and then depending on where you transfer to you may or may not have to renew it. It depends on if when you transfer the company also renews it for you.
