I'm new to this and don't know about things. I don't know if this is all compatable. I just need a computer for burning, downloading, browsing the web. I sometimes run a couple of things at once so needs to cope. I don't realy play pc games just the xbox so doesn't need to be able to play all the best games. I just want a fast good computer for around 400 pound. If there are any better parts or cheaper and the same please say. Thanks.

That RAM will not work on that board.

That's also an old processor. This may be a better idea as it'll run faster than that processor:

Case: http://www.ebuyer.com/product/127584 - £24.95 - Coolermaster case
PSU: http://www.ebuyer.com/product/132563 (more expensive BUT cheap PSUs tend to fail in spectacular style and take the rest of the system out) - £52.41 - Corsair PSU
MB: http://www.ebuyer.com/product/141239 - £30.82 - Foxconn A6VMX AM2+ Board

CPU: http://www.ebuyer.com/product/166519 - £48.80 (Athlon X2 250)
HDD: http://www.ebuyer.com/product/164282 - £64.17 1Tb hard drive
Mem: http://www.ebuyer.com/product/142399 - £36.26 - 2Gb DDR2 Memory
Optical drive: http://www.ebuyer.com/product/170014 - £16.16 - DVD Writer
Card Reader: http://www.ebuyer.com/product/108453 - £5.35

The above board has four USB ports on the back and you'll have two on the front of the case so unless you're going to connect copious USB devices to it, you don't need one.

Graphics: The board has onboard graphics but if you want a separate one, then http://www.ebuyer.com/product/159579 = 1Gb 9400GT. = £40.63

Windows 7 HP 32-bit: http://www.ebuyer.com/product/173787 - £71.21.

Total bill: £390.76.

Plus firewire card which you can always buy later if you decide you need one: http://www.ebuyer.com/product/60573 @ £8.98

Also, unless you intend to store massive amounts of information...millions of songs, or many hours of video/movies, you could save cash by going with a smaller HDD. 1Tb may be excessive. WD & Seagate are reputable brands. I've used both with no issues.

I don't have Windows 7 experience, but the 64bit version should run applications faster than the 32bit.
