Hello:

I hope you can help me. Several times a week I have this problem that when I want to print something my printer says idle. I have tried everything from disconnecting the USB cable to going to Control Panel clicking on the printers and right clicking on the printer and if it says offline setting it to say use printer online.

I am not sure if it's a Windows Vista problem, because I have Windows Vista and the printer it's an HP Officejet 4315v,All-in-One (it's fax, copier, printer and scanner) should I buy a different printer? Does it matter what kind of printer you have with the Windows Vista? I appreciate your assistance and suggestion if I need to buy another printer.

Thanks,

Anna Marie Menendez

Thanks for your prompt reply. I tried the link and was told to try later. Now my printer is not L7780 so I don't know if that might be a problem. Another thing I just noticed is that it will print and the printer says ready if I'm printing something from the internet but if I want to print something from my emails or Word it will say Idle. Isn't that weird? Thanks again.
