I downloaded TrueCrypt and tried following directions, but have no idea what I am doing. Has anyone used this program that can give me better instructions? Or, is there an easier program to use?

I get lost at Select File at the Volume Location screen. There are no files on the flash drive so I can't choose it??? It's obvious I have no idea what I am doing, but I am hoping someone can help me out.

Also, do I need to format my flash drives before using them, or at any time?
