I have been working on this for several days. I have tried EVERYTHING i could possibly find on google. I am running XP. Both WMP11 and Zune See the xbox when I turn on media sharing. The xbox soes not see either one. I tried the DRM wipe/upgrade, set up a static ip for xbox and opened all ports, installed SP3 hotfix, made sure all services were running and set up properly, uninstalled/reinstalled WMP's 9,10, & 11. I've tried it all. So finally I downloaded TVersity and TVersity works. I went back to see if maybe the installing of TVersity changed anything that would make Zune & WMP11 work again. They still do not work. This is rediculous, I am trying to make this work for my father. I have 2 xbox 360's at home that work fine with my WMP11. I have no idea why this just wont work at my fathers house. The only difference between my dad's network and mine is the brand of router. I use a linksys wrv54g that works like a dream, he has a DLink DI-604. I updated his routers firmware and made sure it is compatible with xbox 360. I hope someone can help. I really want to get this working for my dad before I fly back home next week.

I am having the EXACT same issue. PC sees Xbox, but Xbox can't connect to PC. Tried doing everything right down to the DRM fix. This did resolve the issue for a day, but when I switched everything off that night and tried again the next day it wouldn't connect again! I simply CANNOT UNDERSTAND why Microsoft could make everything so incompatable! I am running Windows 7, and I have to say that I am NOT A PC! Help someone? I would love to be able to stream my media to my tele.

Hi,

If still having problems & you have tried the usual with ports,DMZ, and setting the share up on WMP, check your network connections & make sure that you have an internet gateway field in the large pane, mine is called internet connection, & ALSO CHECK the advanced tab on the properties of your LAN.

If the internet gateway is not listed OR when you click on the advanced tab on the LAN properties in network connections--you see a paragraph telling you that your WMI is corrupt--the WMI repository needs repairing.

refer to the following information: http://windowsxp.mvp...g/repairwmi.htm

I am running XP PRO SP3. I opened up the run line & entered: rundll32 wbemupgd, UpgradeRepository. Restarted the PC, the internet gateway was then listed, my advanced tab was back to normal with the windows firewall settings. If the above document does not repair the WMI repository--google it, there is alot of info on how to accomplish this, including copying a file from your O.S. install disk.

After the WMI repository was repaired, MY PC showed right up in the xbox.

hope this helps
