I think so... What ever it was attatched it self to my msn im's and sent it to everyone w/ out me doing it. Then it reset all my internet explorer stuff and I constantly had pop ups on the screen, even if I wasn't in internet explorer (but still connected to the web). I download numerous antispyware software and I think Microsoft antispyware finally did the trick. I'll let you know if I have anymore problems. Would it be a bad idea to go ahead and post a hijack this scan log, just to see if there is anymore of it on my computer? I really am not sure when it comes to these things. :tazz: I do a lot of banking and stuff on my computer and don't want anyone having access to my stuff.

Thanks

That might be a good idea,

Please could you download HijackThis:

HijackThis Download

(Note: If you already have a previous version of HiJackThis on your machine, you can update to the new version from within:
Lower right ... Config, Top line ... Misc Tools, Check for the update online.)

Could you then save the download and unzip the file to a location which is not your desktop or the temp folder.

Please then double click on the "HijackThis" icon

When the program has finished loading, please click the Scan button

Once finished, Click Save Log. Save the log to a location that you will remember. And open it with the notepad,

Please do not fix anything yet with this or any other program as most of the information shown is harmless. When our experts examine this they will tell you what to fix.

Hi cmccarter
Your HJT log is clean,
I see you have a pretty well protected system, Lets keep it that way :tazz:
I m sure you now know not to click on any links that pop your way,

Download the following program, For keeping crap off your system to begin with
Prevent the installation of ActiveX-based spyware, adware, browser hijackers, dialers, and other potentially unwanted pests. Block spyware/tracking cookies in Internet Explorer and Mozilla/Firefox. Restrict the actions of potentially dangerous sites in Internet Explorer.
Download Spyware Blaster

Keep AD-Aware. and Spybot 1.3 handy, Check them for updates prior to running and run them weekly
Same with your Anti Virus,

For an added check run an online virus scan, you can use one of the 2 below,
TrendMicro's HouseCall
ActiveScan

Be sure and give the Temp folders a cleaning out now and then as well, Make sure after you clean your Temp files to empty out your Recycle bin as well.
For ease use the following program
Download and install Cleanup
Run "Cleanup" and when it has finished, Reboot

Remeber to Check Windows for updates

Probably a good time to create a new restore point See Here Name it clean or something like that,

Let us know if you have any further problems,
