Current spacemonger screenshot attached. It's back to having as much free space as a few days ago. Is spacemonger supposed to show sizewise an accurate visual picture of the space? Because you can see it looks like there's lots of free space, yet it shows that only 13 GB are open. Something's still hiding. I have no pictures, videos, or other documents saved on here.

Attached is the current treesize screenshot. It's a far cry from what the spacemonger is showing.

One more thing I am wondering about - I can't access a "local settings" folder yet I know it exists and has something - maybe a lot - in it.

One more thing I am wondering about - I can't access a "local settings" folder yet I know it exists and has something - maybe a lot - in it.

its a hidden folder...
run diskeeper lite again...after its done click on view report...then save...copy and paste the report in your reply...
also go here and get The freeware Largest Files Finder...it finds the 100 largest files on your hard disk...

depending what we find the quick and dirty way would to create a new user with administrative rights and delete the old account including all its files...windows and all your programs will still work but it would delete any files related to the old account...

Here's the screenshot of the 100 files result. Not sure this is telling us much since the total is only 3.77 GB.

go to the Control Panel...Add or Remove Programs...scroll down to Rescue and Recovery...click Remove...
reboot and defrag again...then see how much free space you have...
