Since you don't have the cd then yes you will have to download the drivers from HP and reinstall them which should stop the notice. If you have an HP Printer then load the HP CD when it asks for trayapp

would that also fix not being able to uninstall it?

It should since part on the uninstall files are probably missing.

Grr try this.
Download and install Revo Uninstaller
Download and install Revo Uninstaller
- Double click the Revo Uninstaller icon on your desktop to start the program
- Scroll through the listed programs and Right Click on the program you wish to uninstall
- From the pop out menu choose Uninstall
- Click Yes to the confirmation dialogue
- In the next window select the Advanced mode
- Click Next to start uninstalling the program
- Answer Yes to confirm the uninstall
- When the program has completed the four steps, click Next to allow the program to search for leftovers
- Once complete, click Next, then Finish
- Repeat the above steps for any other programs you wish to remove.

Hi just found this forum and it may help with my problem. I brought a new HP printer last week (4500 Officejet) and today the TrayApp error has come up. As suggested above I've inserted the CD that I used to set the printer up, and it can't find the file(s) it needs. Any ideas?
Thanks
