I used to have an HP printer. It would not install correctly and despite my 3 hours with the tech, which send my complaint into level 2 who never contacted me, I had to return it. After the tech messed around with my computer, every time I restarted the computer or shut it down I got a Microsoft .NET framework error. I decided that I would return to a restore point to fix the problem, since the fix application for framework did not work. However, I was only given the last weeks worth of restore points, which wasn't enough to return my computer back to when i DIDN"T have the printer drivers installed. Now, i don't have the disks and TrayApp keeps popping up. Should I download and install the newest drivers off the hp website? Programs and Features isn't starting up the uninstall wizard when I go in there and just try to uninstall it! what do i do help!

If you have an HP Printer then load the HP CD when it asks for trayapp

Since you don't have the cd then yes you will have to download the drivers from HP and reinstall them which should stop the notice.

It should since part on the uninstall files are probably missing.

Grr :) try this.
Download and install Revo Uninstaller
  • Double click the Revo Uninstaller icon on your desktop to start the program
  • Scroll through the listed programs and Right Click on the program you wish to uninstall
  • From the pop out menu choose Uninstall
  • Click Yes to the confirmation dialogue
  • In the next window select the Advanced mode
  • Click Next to start uninstalling the program
  • Answer Yes to confirm the uninstall
  • When the program has completed the four steps, click Next to allow the program to search for leftovers
  • Once complete, click Next, then Finish
  • Repeat the above steps for any other programs you wish to remove.

Hi just found this forum and it may help with my problem. I brought a new HP printer last week (4500 Officejet) and today the TrayApp error has come up. As suggested above I've inserted the CD that I used to set the printer up, and it can't find the file(s) it needs. Any ideas?
Thanks
