Hi Ghost9420. :)

What are your system specs?

To view your memory:

1. Click Start
2. Type System in the Search box

To view your graphics card (as this could also be a problem):

1. Go to Start > Run
2. Type in dxdiag
3. Press Enter
4. Click on the Display Tab

In your reply please post the graphics card (with its specs) and your installed RAM.

Howdy Ghost9420. :)

Not a problem. You have enough RAM and Graphics to play most games, so they don't appear to be the problem. :)

Is this a recent occurrence? I take it you were able to play without it crashing for some time?

It has more recently been crashing, but it doesnt always crash, only perodically. :)

I have recently used the Vista Perfomance moniter and i have been watching the disk usage section. It seems for some reason that my system processes have been "Reading" a lot, in that B/min is very high, but only at certain times. I dont know if that helps you help me at all, but i though i would mention it. :)

When it crashes, does it give any error warnings? As for the disk reading, do the peaks occur when the game is running or just at random points?

There are no warnings, it just crashes to desktop. The disk usage seems to be completely random. :)

Ok.

Have you download all of their latest patches? If not, do that first before following the below instructions:

Let's try this:

1. Go to Start > Accessories > Command Prompt
2. Right click the Command Prompt and select Run As Administrator
3. Type this into the Command Prompt: bcdedit /set increaseuserva 2500
4. Press Enter
5. Make sure you get a message back confirming the change was made. To verify the entry is there you can type just bcdedit, hit enter, and you should see the entry now listed. You have now increased your virtual space to 2500MB.

7. Go to Start > Run
8. Type services.msc into the run box
9. Double click on Superfetch
10. Change the drop down menu to Disabled
11. Restart

Let me know if you have any success. :)

I think I have narrowed the problem down to the Windows Audio Endpoint Builder, which has been slwoing my computer down a lot, for some reason.
