So i have been working on this computer, it had a virus, but now seems to be clean, it looks like it's all gone (i am asumming not) because it let me install not NOD32, but now it won't let me update, and it won't let me update spyware doctor to scan the computer. Is there any tricks to getting spyware doctor going so that i can scan to see if there's anything still on there. I used Malwarebytes to remove the virus so far.

P.S. i can still suff the web and download updates to windows which makes this problem more confusing

Thanks
Joshua

Please go to the malware forum and follow the instructions at the top....Especially the CLICK HERE.

That will give you several steps that will help you clean up 70 percent of all problems by yourself. If at the end of the process you are still having difficulty--and you may not be-- then post an OTListIt log in THAT forum.

Thanks for your advice. I love the TCL or what ever it's called, that really cleans up stuff. I ran the newest malwarebytes and that was able to remove it all. Thanks for all your help
