HI, First time here so here goes.

When I plug my camera in to the usb port and turn it on, XP used to have a window pop up which I used to download my digital photo's through. The Pop Up window does not occur anymore nor can I detect the camera on any drive, either external or internal. It used to show up as external drive or divce being attacehd. How do I get my PC to recoginze that the camer is plugged in and on?

Appreciate any suggestions.

Thanks,

Mallmayor

first is the usb working right? maybe it is the usb but if other things work then it is not the usb. is it plug and play or did you have to install it? try reinstalling it. If that doesn't work or it was plug and play go to the control panel and add new hardware. see if that recognizes it. First try this. turn you computer and let it fully boot up. then plug in the camera. if the window doesn't pop up go to my computer and see if it has an icon. if not go to start settings control panal cameras and scanners and see if it is listed there. If that doesn't work reply and tell me what kind of camera you have.

Hudihoo....Thanks for the reply. The USB ports are working...IPod, mouse etc. It is plug and play and I did not have to install it. I looked in My Computer and there is no icon for the camera? Tried the reboot and same propblem.

Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks!
