Ok, I apparently got the IS2010 virus a couple weeks back. I've got a pc with WinXP and have been using AVG Security & Malware Bytes to find anything and get rid of it. When I did a Malware Bytes quick scan it found about 15 files that were infected & I propted it to clean/remove them it got rid of most (or so it seemed) then said it needed to reboot the computer to finish removal of the viruses so I clicked OK. When it tried to reboot I got a blue screen saying there had been a fatal error at startup & it had to close. When I try to restart now I get a black screen asking if I want to run normal, safe mode, last known good startup, etc. No matter which one I choose the screen just freezes & I cannot get my computer to boot back up.
Am I completely screwed & need to just buy a new hard drive and lose all of my info that I didn't already have backed up or is there a work around that can get me back to my desktop???
Thanks in advance for the help!
