Hi all,
I'm having difficulty when burning my video files (avi) onto a disc.
I can watch them on my computer (OS Vista) through Windows Media Player 11 or Divx Player and everything looks great. It's not until I burn them onto a disc that the colors are wrong (mostly blue & reds) :) . This has happened just a few times but I'm tired of making coasters!!!
Any help would be greatly appreciated. :)

Hi Broni,
I got them from Graboid ... it's a subscription fee site for downloading movies.

Thanks Broni ... I take it you use this program. I'll surely give it a try.
Any idea as to why I am able to burn some movies successfully and not others?

It may be some codecs issue.
I used to use DVDFlick and it worked fine.
I wanted little bit more features and I moved to ConvertXtoDvd.

That's what I was told by a friend so I made sure I had the latest codec updates for Windows Media Player which came pre-installed on my computer. Still having problems I purchased Dvix which can play a multitude of file foremats but I'm still having issues with colors being wrong ... particularly blues and reds. I'll also check out ConvertXtoDvd. Do you have to buy this one. Do you burn movies off the net with success?
Thanks for all your suggestions and help.

Never had a problem with burned DVDs.
ConvertXtoDvd is not free, but I must say, it's the best burning program, I've ever used.
Did you try different DVD brand?
It may be also some issue with your DVD burner. Have you ever tried to burn very same movie in different computer?

Hi Broni,
Thanks for all your suggestions. Think I will hold off on purchasing another a new program as Dvix came highly recommended and I did much research and checked reviews before I went with it.
I was able to play the dvd on my computer no problem. Tried it on our second pioneer player with the same wrong color issue. Our new pioneer player can play a multitude of file formats. I will however re-burn it on a friends burner and see how that goes.
I thought perhaps there were settings that I could adjust and not being electronic minded did not want to tackle that without some expert advice.
Thank you also for your promptness with replies. :)
