I bought a pny attache micro swivel from best buy. I used it for a couple of weeks, no problems, no errors or any thing. And one day I went to use it and it was not detected no sound, no icon in my computer, no drive letter conflict, no errors, no nothing. I tried it in other computers still nothing. Played around with it and it came up for a couple of seconds, I was able to get a couple files off, then it closed and I have not been able to get it back up.
Is there any thing I can do to get the files off or fix it?

Does the drive show up in the disk management utility? To check, plug in the drive and go Start, Control Panel and click on System Maintenance. Then choose Administrative Tools, Computer Management and expand the Storage tab. Then choose Disk Management.

There is a shortcut with XP where you can right click on the My Computer icon and choose Manage, but I'm not sure if that works in Vista.

Do you have any other hardware that is USB, such as a keyboard or mouse? Have you tried a different USB port, such as one in the back?

Since it isn't recognized by any other PC and your USB ports have been proven to work, the only thing I can think of is that the drive is dead. Perhaps someone else has other suggestions?

Any idea of what could have killed it?

since its only a few weeks old then its still under warranty... :)
hot swapping a flash drive can kill them...same for external usb hard drives...
and in my experiences with them ...NOTHING will bring them back
always use the safely remove hardware icon in the system tray BEFORE you unplug them...click on the drive you want to disconnect and wait until it says its safe to remove it

I safely remove it every time. I cant think of any rational reason of how it could have died, except that pny makes crappy usb flash drives.

The drive is dead. Return it for warranty.

I cant think of any rational reason of how it could have died, except that pny makes crappy usb flash drives.

That is not necessarily true. I personnally use quite a few of them and have had no issues.

You will at times get bad hard drives, bad flash drives, bad memory, etc. It just happens.
