Hello is there anyone who could help me. I will start with a short story. My wife is japanese and we were visiting her family in japan during 2008 (sorry for the lag should have tried a forum back then ha ha). I bought a Logitech web cam and tried to get it set up on her fathers computer. I installed WLM first and couldn't get it to start up for some reason. Then I tried Yahoo and I couldn't get that to work. Couldn't get it to work on my computer either.

Not sure if this is a crazy conspiracy theory, but is it possible that yahoo and microsoft are not allowed to provide free communication between japan and the US?

What I am really looking for are suggestions for free messenger services that would work for communicating between US and Japan that supports Microphone and Webcam. I am sure it is something simple that I just have not heard of.
