Did you try install them one at a time?

Hi Broni, thanks for a quick response.
I have tried installing them individually but with
no luck, all other updates install no trouble but
the same 5 which all relate to MS office 2007 & works
always fail as the 5th download is installing & nearing
completion, this has been going on for a while now &
its annoying, its like groundhog day!
Any other suggestions would be appreciated

I'm little bit confused:

the same 5 which all relate to MS office 2007 & works
always fail as the 5th download is installing & nearing
completion

Does it mean, four others installed fine, or you're still trying to install a pack of 5?

Sorry if my description wasn`t clear i will list what
happened this morning, windows told me there was 6
updates available so i attempted to install them (again)
one update was successful but the same 5 others fail.
When i click on retry the performance bar shows updates
1-4 are going ok but when update 5 installation nears
completion the installation for all 5 updates fails.
If i go to update history & try to install them individually
the same error code comes up for each.
I hope this makes more sense

This is not what I wanted you to do.
I want you to see what updates are up.
Then checkmark only one, UN-check others.
Install that one.
When successful, install 2nd one and so on.

The problem is now resolved, thankfully!
I did what you suggested but the updates
would not install individually at all, so
i clicked on the MS get help link on the 5th
update & found there is a hot fix available.
So i downloaded the hotfix which installed
the update automatically & then installed the
other 4 updates & success, windows is up to date.
Below are the 5 updates concerned as listed & worded:
security update for MS office visio viewer 2007 (KB973709)
security update for the 2007 MS office system (KB972581)
update for MS office info path 2007 (KB976416)
security update for MS works 8 (KB977304)
update for MS office word 2007 (KB974561)
Ive added these as they might be helpful to someone with
the same error codes looking for a soloution.
Thanks to Broni for the time taken out to help & it was your
suggestion to install individually that led to the soloution.

Thanks GTG :)
