Greetings,

I apologize if using the wrong board.

this issue might be a bigger problem than we expected.

I'm playing this game called Tibia, on a private server.
The server is hosted on a dedicated server.

Unfortunately one of the previously Gamemasters was fired. This resulted in him executing so heavy ddos attacks that our hosting company closed the server which our private server was hosted on. Attacks were so heavy that whole segment of their network was strongly affected.

We need to prove to the hosting company that such attacks will not happen again.

Is there anyone here that knows anything about DDoS attacks, and knows how to prevent it so we're able to get our server up running?

Thank you so much in advance!

Sincerely yours,
Robin.
