I have an HP Pavilion dv6 1245 Ex laptop with Vista 64 bit (6.0.6002 SP2 build 6002).

I had to re-install Vista and am trying to re-install my Photosmart C3180 All In One.

When "HP Photosmart Full Feature Vista 64.exe (latest version)" driver installation software runs, it gets as far as the "Device detected" dialog box that says it is "waiting for device setup to finish". After several minutes a box saying "device setup has failed to complete" comes up.
I have changed USB cables and also connected the printer to another computer that it works fine with. I have uninstalled and re-installed the software. I am at a loss as what to do next.

Any help out there?
