i have a dell XPS computer.intel core duo, E8400 3.00 Ghz, with 3G ram. I have 2 cd/dvd roms in my computer. about 3 weeks ago i had to format my computer due to mal-ware that wiped out my harddrive. i re-wrote my hard drive to 0000, and reinstalled everything. downloaded all the new drivers from the dell website. i have windows XP (by choice). i use PC-cillion for a virus scan. the computer is 2 years old.

Since i re-installed everything, i started getting this blue screen whenever i use either one of my cd/dvd roms. this is the weird thing. if i put the disk in and restart the computer, once the computer is back on the windows screen it will work fine BUT if the computer is already on and i just stick in a CD/DVD disk or if i am installing something that takes multiple disks, i get a blue screen. Now i don't know what it says because it flashes for about 3 seconds then the computer restarts.

It is getting really frustrating. i use my computer for work so i really cant be without it for days being at a repair shop. anyone have any ideas?
