I formatted a friend's laptop to install Windows XP on it (Home Edition), and then i installed most of the updates on it, the new Windows XP menu was apeparing (you know, the big blue Welcome menu at the beginning) but now it disapepared, only showing a black screen with the username and password fields, not automatically logging in (it was, before i did the patches and drivers updates).

How can i put the new Welcome menu and "shutdown" menu back in Windows XP instead of that old menu with choices in a field?

thanks for helping me.

well Windows told me that a software driver deactivated this menu for unknown reason, so i uninstalled this driver and installed a previous version which works the same as the newer one, but without this thing happening.

So this can be locked now, thanks anyway :)
