I am looking to upgrade it to save a bit of money. Even with just the 1GB RAM Upgrade and the 256 Graphics card I just bought it runs 100% better then it did.

Question is, What is the best graphics card I can add to this motherboard?
Will upgrading the HD help performance?
If I buy a External HD will it work the same as a Internal HD?
If I got ahold of another motherboard, could I put it in the GX260 case and use it with the current Hardware inside the case?

Yea I have no clue about computers. Hope the info I provided helps in answering the questions.

Realistically it's old. It's pointless throwing money at it in my view because it'll never be as fast as current day machines.

1) HDD upgrade - the drive will probably be faster but the rest of the system is still going to be slow.
2) No. External hard drives plug into a USB port. Use them for storage only.
3) No. Dell boards are unique to Dell cases and most cases are designed in such a way that makes it hard to use any other board.
