Looks like it will work for what you need it for. The nice thing is when you don't need sound you unplug and store it away. Make sure you use the safely unplug feature with win 7

Hey all,

Just wanted to post a quick update:

My 'Sound Blaster Play' USB card arrived today. I've only ever used internal sound cards, so I have nothing to compare it to, but I think it's great. No problems installing it, although I have 2 free USB slots in the back. It might be hard to plugin if the slot next to it were occupied. It was up and running within a few minutes, without taking the 'puter apart.

I still wish my internal card worked, because I'd rather have not spent an extra $27.

Anyway, thanks again for trying to help me, rshaffer61. It is much appreciated.
