I installed new mother board. Asus "P5QL-VM DO" with all the drivers that came with it. This is a Vista machine. Nothing works correctly in the PCI slots other wise everthing is ok. In the Device Manager it indicates the "Simple PCI Communication Controller" has no driver. I cannot find anything on the Asus site about this. When I click reinstall in the Device Manager it cannot find it.

Any Ideas, Ray

Sounds like you need to reinstall the motherboard chipset driver.
You may have had a faulty install.

You should have a driver CD with the board.
Re-install the chipset drivers from the CD.

No, I have reinstalled the drivers from the CD that came with the board and have downloaded from the Asus site. No Help. I am waiting for a call back from Asus presently.

Here is the final solution.

To install new Chipset Drivers.

Be sure the "Intel ME" switch is turned. This is on the edge of the board
next to the USB jacks.

Download the latest Chipset Drivers and install.

Download the "Intel Managament Engine" and run.
Download the "Local Managability Serive" and run.

This solved the problem.
