This has been happening ever since i put my PC together:

On my computer i have to push my power button over and over to get it to register with the computer that it need to turn on or off. It seems to help if power down the Power Supply and then hit the power button a few times and then turn the power supply back on and then hit the power button.

I'm pretty sure that the power wire is in the right spot on the mother board, it's just that most of the things that i plugged into motherboard had different labels than in the motherboards manual.

Can any one give me any suggestions on why this is happening?

If you put together it is either wired wrong, has a poor connection, or the button itself is the cause.
