In a first attempt at remove malware from a pc I have managed to remove this Paladin by searching the registry for paladin and deleting anything that had it mentioned. I managed to load a new copy of free adaware and run this twice and since have not had any of the indications that Paladin is still on the pc. In searching on the web I found a few postings advising key to delete but no mention to other side effects. What i do have is the problem in not being able to run Panda the antivirus that is installed on the pc or read a dvd that is readable on another machine without any problems. i am assuming that the malware is the cause in changing security key in the registry and also for the dvd rom but not knowing what settings need change would appreciate any guidance.
Thank you.
