About 2 hours ago my computer started showing pop-ups, alerts, threats, warnings....

Randomly every two minutes or so these will happen:

Windows security alert (pop up bubble from START bar task bar on lower right corner of screen):
It says "Windows reports that computer is infected. Anti-virus software helps to protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. Click here for the scan you computer. Your system might be at risk now." (this one doesn't even have correct grammar) I can click an X on that one or it goes away itself, but pops right back up momentarily.

Windows security Center keeps coming up asking me to turn on my anti-virus. I can go to Control Panel and click on Windows Firewall but it immediately closes.

Security Warning (Also pops up): Application cannot be executed. The file (wmiprvse.exe [among many others] is infected. Do you want to activate your anti-virus software now? (A program I do not have downloaded). I can not press the X in the corner of this pop up window. It says to choose Yes or No. If I make either choice it takes me to either Porn.com, Viagra.com, or a site recommending me to buy the Anti-virus software. I can not open almost any major programs, including "Spybot - Search and Destroy" and instead this pops up.

Another window pops up and in bold and red, says: "Anti-virus software alert" says ATTENTION ! SPY-WARE ALERT Vulnerabilities found.Your computer is infected by spy-ware - 34 serious threats have been found while scanning your files and registry. It is strongly recommended that you disinfect your computer and activate realtime security protection against future intrusions."

The last one I am seeing is in the bottom corner, a box that says: "Anti-virus Software Alert: Infiltration Alert: Virus Attack. Your computer is being attacked by an internet virus. It could be a password-stealing attack, a Trojan - dropper or similar. DETAILS: Attack from: attack port: Threat: ...Do you wish to block this attack? YES NO.

This terrifies me as I have no idea where to start or what to do to get rid of the spy-ware, virus problem and keep this from happening without ruining my computer. Please help me. Thank you. -M

Please download FileLister by bamajim and unzip it to your Desktop..
  • Double-click on FileLister.vbe and let it run. Wait until a log pop-on to your screen
  • Attach that log in your next reply.. You can find the log at C:\Files.txt or %Systemdrive%\Files.txt
