I seem to be having a problem when trying to re-install windows xp on my laptop. I install the xp disc, format the hard drive, it copies the files, but on restart it goes directly back to the disc. And if I take the disc out I get a message saying "invalid boot.ini file booting from c windows ntdetect failed" I had tried re-installing many times now, and I have played around with the recovery settings trying to fix the boot settings. If anyone knows any information on how to fix this problem, please feel free to comment, and I will supply any other info they need on the laptop. Thanks - Fat Joseph :)
