I downloaded and installed the malware program that you suggested, but it wouldn't launch. I get Error code 730. so, I still have Seccurity Essentials 2010 and now have a malware app that won't run.

Error code 730 usually means MBAM can not connect out to get the updates.
Sometimes this variant adds a file to your LSP stack and breaks your connection.

  • Please download LSPFix from here.
  • Run the LSPFix.exe that you have just finished downloading.
  • Check the I know what I'm doing box.
  • In the Keep box you should see one or more instances of helpers32.dll.
  • Select every instance of helpers32.dll and move each one to the Remove box by clicking the >> button.
  • When you are done click Finish>>.

If you are seeing another file, please leave it alone, you could need it. Post the required logs here:
http://www.geekstogo...uide-t2852.html
and what you have tried and wait for one of our experts to help you.
