:) I have Firefox 3.6 and it keeps freezing and becoming non responsive.
I have been forced to go back to IE7 with no problems. I would rather use
Firefox. Why is Firefox freezing and becoming non responsive ?

I have scanned my computer for all bugs and my computer is clean.

I have tried disabling my add-ons for Firefox but I have the same problem.

I have tried upgrading to Firefox 3.6 Beta (revision 5) [3.6b5] and I have the same problem.

I have tried downgrading to Firefox 3.5 and again I have the same problem.

I have tried deleting my cookies and internet temp files and I have the same problem.

I have :

Windows Xp Sp3

Firefox 3.6

My Firefox add-ons are :

Adblock Plus 1.1.3

CookieSafe 3.0.5

FlashGot1.2.1.15

Google Toolbar 6.1.20091119W

Java Console 6.0.18

Java Quick Starter 1.0

Mcafee SiteAdvisor 3.1

Microsoft .NET Framework Assistant 1.1

Nicofox 0.4b1

Adobe Flash 10,0,45,2

:) :) What can I do to fix this ?

All help is appreciated.
Thank You

Firefox 3.6 is not in beta anymore.
I suggest, you totally uninstall FF following these steps: http://kb.mozillazin...talling_Firefox
Install fresh copy.

I followed your instructions in your link and completely uninstalled Firefox 3.6 and then reinstalled Firefox 3.6 with my add-ons.

:) It now works. :) Thank You very much ! I didn't realize Firefox left so many files on my computer even after uninstalling normally.
