Yep not a problem. Memory is fairly simple to install because it will only fit one way in the slot.
It is what is known as being keyed. There is a slot that it fits in like this below.

OK so you can't install net framework and your updates are not working correct?
You uninstalled all Net Frameworks versions and installed the version asked for when you went to Microsofts window update page correct?
