This happens like every ten minutes. My taskbar continuously freezes and it pisses me off. Any quick fix?

I'm running windows vista home premium 64 bit

Looks like this is the problem:

Waiting on Application Name: svchost.exe:AudioClientRpc

Could I get some specs from your audio card? Is your driver for it up to date?

1.

Check for updates in Device Manager:

Start > (right-click) Computer > Device Manager (under tasks, upper left corner)

Report any exclamations, or warnings you see!

Expand Sound, video and game controllers, right-click your audio/card, choose Update Driver Software. If no updates are found, I would encourage you to look at your vendors website for driver updates.

2.

Try disabling the service "AudioClientRpc". This is not a standard Vista service, and was installed with your audio card. You may lose sound during this test, but see if your problem continues.

Start > (type:) services.msc
Scroll down to AudioClientRpc, right-click on it and select Properties
Use the Startup Type drop-down to select Disabled
Click the Stop button then OK
Close the Services window
Restart your computer.

Report back what you find :)

First, thanks for the help.
I tried to update my audio drivers but they are all up to date.
I did find that I had disabled, not my speakers, but 'bluetooth hands free audio,"; I enabled this, which apparently solved my problem as I have not had another freeze. if it happens again ill let you know. thanks again!!

Hello,

Bummer! Thought you had it fixed. :)

Is "Bluetooth Hands Free Audio" still enabled? When your task bar freezes, do you still get the same error messages(AudioClientRPC)? Unfortunately, my next suggestion would be to uninstall and reinstall your audio drivers from a fresh download from your vendors website, which would probably solve your problem.

If you want to give me some specs on your PC, I can help you do that.

Download and Install EVEREST Free Home Edition
Open it.
1: In left pane expand Computer folder.
2: Click once on Summary
3: In upper menu, go Report
4: And then to Quick Report-Summary
5: Save it in text file, and paste it in your next post.

Don't include anything under the line that says "DEBUG- PCI"

Hello,

Sorry, I didn't realize how little Everest gives on that report. I don't even get the Make or Model!?

Could you run Belarc Advisor instead? Sorry :)

If you know your audio card, you can go ahead and reinstall it. I'm just finding info about it, but if you know how, go ahead.
