recently downgrraded a vista to xp professional on an acer aspire m5100 desktop pc. if i go to the device manager i have a yellow exclamtion mark next to audio device on high definition audio bus and the message

This device is not configured correctly. (Code 1)

i dont know what else to do please help :)

Go HERE and in first window click on Desktop
Then next window click on Aspire
Next click on m5100 about half way down the list.
A new window will open and in the middle of the screen you will see a drop down menu for your OS.
Open it and click on XP Professional 32 bit.
You will now see below that two different Audio drivers. You would need to know if it is a Foxconn or Realtek audio device. Most likely I would say Realtek.
Let me know if this resolves the problem.

it keeps coming up install realtek HD audio driver failure :)

im waiting for those ones on realtek to download iv tried typin in on google the others that you sent but nothing is coming up its so confusing
