I recently upgraded my Windows 7 32bit to 64 bit ( running 6 gig of ram ), and one of my CD-DVD drives is not being recognized by Windows. I have it set as the slave, and before I changed to 64 bit, it worked. I think it is no finding the driver. IF this is the case, can anyone direct me to the location for the driver, or if one can, give me some advise.

I looked on the LG site, and no luck. Thanks

Optical drives do not require drivers now with the new OS's.

Does this mean it is on IDE ribbon with another drive connected to it?
When you made it a slave was this before or after the Win 7 was installed?
Lets see what is showing in a couple of places.
Please Go to
1: STARTand the click on RUN
2: Type in devmgmt.msc
3: Click Enter

To do a screenshot please have click on your Print Screen on your keyboard. It is normally the key above your number pad between the F12 key and the Scroll Lock key
Now go to Start and then to All Programs
Scroll to Accessories and then click on Paint
In the Empty White Area click and hold the CTRL key and then click the V
Go to the File option at the top and click on Save as
Save as file type JPEG and save it to your Desktop

Go to Start then to Run
Type in compmgmt.msc and click Enter
On left side click on Disk Management
On right side you will see you hard drive.
Now I need you to take a screenshot and attach it to your next reply. Do the following to take a screenshot while the above is open and showing on your desktop.

To do a screenshot please have click on your Print Screen on your keyboard. It is normally the key above your number pad between the F12 key and the Scroll Lock key
Now go to Start and then to All Programs
