OK I found this about how to open the case.

Press the oval button on the case's top, and the GX260 splits into two halves (much like laying a book on its binding and opening it in the middle), revealing a spacious interior that makes servicing easy. You won't need to lug around a tool set to add or replace parts. In fact, every component inside the case can be removed without tools.

Now i imagine yours should be pretty close to this so try it and let me know if it works.

I can only crack the back left end, nothing else budges. I had my son try to help me. I assume you meant that you open like a book with the spine of the book on the floor.
Cracks open only about 3/4 inch.

Yep thats what the instructions indicate. You push that button on the top and the case is suppose to split in half while you are holding down the button.

OK finally figured it out. Looks pretty clean inside. I could see no fan exposed, but I did hear fan(s) running and vibrations on both sides of PC. Enclosing picture of inside here.

Your fan for the CPU and exhaust is under the green cover.

Shut the computer down and look under the cover.

OK, so I can feel that the fan under the green hood is running. If I shut off the PC and take off the hood, what do I do then? It will not be running then, right? Should I then plug in and boot up, or what?
Thanks to you both for your quick responses.

You do not want it running at this time.
Remove the hood and make sure (clean if necessary with compressed air) that the fan and heat sink on the CPU are free of any dust bunnies.

Also check and/or clean out the power supply. It also has a fan and needs to be clean of dust. It is where you plug the power in to.
