My cd burner is not burning. It reads and plays CD & DVDs just fine. It use to burn CD's but now it doesn't. When i try and burn a CD it goes through the whole process of burning. But when the CD comes out it comes out blank. Don't know what is wrong with it. I have Windows Vista.

Then most likely your problem is the burning side of the cdrom is bad.

So what would I have to do? Do I need to buy a new one?

Yep pretty simple to resolve it. It happens a lot when the read side works fine but the burn side fails. I have seen it happen even with brand new drives. You should be able to pick up a new one for about 30 to 40 USD from TigerDirect or NewEgg

If you have another computer, you can plug in the drive to see if it burns on there. That would rule out if it is toast.

But I would agree with rshaffer61, it's probably broken.
