Hello, I was using my computer online and then my programs was not responding so I shut down the computer from the start up button. When I turned it back on windows vista circle came up and then it went to a black screen with a blinking cursor. Please help me I have homework to do for school. THanks so much :)

Welcome to Geeks to Go!

Turn on the PC and immediately tap F8 until you see the 'advanced startup options' screen.

Use up/down arrowhead-keys to highlight "Last known good configuration" and press <Enter>.
