Which is more important- a faster microchip or a dual core? I seldom use my Windows XP OS for typing stuff. I'm on the Internet an average of 10-12 hours a day, so anything that helps with downloading videos, movies, live sports and shows is better for me. Of course, my ISP would trump anything else, but unless I'm prepared to spend a chunk of money(I'm in Thailand), I get between 2-3mb for downloads.
Advice?

I would go for a multi-core processor. It allows you to perform more functions without overclocking your processor. What are your options?
